Household Waste Recycling Centre Appointment Booking System

Date opened

22 February 2021

Date closes

10 March 2021

Overview

The Council would like your views on the introduction of an appointment booking system at all Household Waste Recycling Centres.

This is an approach adopted by councils across the UK and aims to reduce queueing times, reduce congestion from queueing on the highway and provide more opportunities for residents to recycle in a safer and controlled manner.

Residents will be able to book online, by telephone and using other options.

This survey provides the chance for you to give us feedback on these proposals.

Ways to give your views

This consultation is now closed

Thank you to all those who responded to the survey.  We will now collate this feedback and consider how the service at our Household Waste Recycling Centres can be reshaped to meet the needs of our residents.

In the meantime, the HWRC sites will continue to operate within the constraints of the COVID 19 safety measures and whilst this has implications on waiting times please appreciate that these site controls remain a legal requirement during the interim.

Please be assured that we are committed to delivering continuous service improvement and thank you for your patience and cooperation at this challenging time.
