Contract holder involvement
We’re committed to making sure that contract holders (tenants) have a say in the decisions that affect them, their homes, and the areas they live in. We want to empower contract holders to get involved at a level that suits them. We do this by offering a range of opportunities to get involved.
Ways you can get involved
Caerphilly Homes is committed to involving you in developing and shaping future housing services. Would you like to share your views so that we can ensure that contract holders remain at the heart of everything we do? Some of the ways we do this are listed below:
Current In Person opportunities
- Information Exchange - This is an informal session where contract holders can find out more about how Caerphilly Homes and contract holders are working together to improve housing services. It’s also a good opportunity to meet and chat with other contract holders. Contact us to find out when the next Exchange is being held.
- Housing Improvement Partnership (HIP) - The HIP is made up of contract holders who want to work with us to improve housing services. No specialist skills are needed. All we need is your knowledge and experience as a Caerphilly Homes contract holder. If you can spare a few hours a month for 6 months of the year then please get in touch. All reasonable expenses will be paid.
Online opportunities
Surveys - Online or paper surveys to gather views on different housing services. Contact us to find out more or to register your interest in future surveys.
Latest Housing news
Sign up for the Caerphilly Homes email bulletin to be informed of the latest housing news.
In person and online opportunities
Focus groups – small Groups of contract holders who come together to give us their views on a subject, for example Rent affordability. Contact us to find out more.
Expenses and travelling
We reimburse reasonable expenses such as travel and care costs. If you don’t have a car, we can arrange free transport for you. Please get in touch with us if there is anything that may stop you from getting involved.
Training
We offer free training sessions to support you and help you be involved.

Your Rent – Your Views Rent consultation
Every year, we ask you for your views on Rent & Affordability. One of the things you told us was you would like to know how your rent money is spent. We have committed to providing this information every year and our How we Spend Your Rent leaflet was sent to everyone in early 2023 & 2024.
