Welsh Government support to businesses

If you are currently experiencing issues or have any concerns with regards to your business operations/supply chain contact the Business Wales helpline on 03000 6 03000 or follow the Business Wales link for information on business rate relief, grants and loans for businesses to help during the disruption caused by COVID-19

Support for self employed

The new Self-Employed Income Support Scheme, means those eligible will receive a cash grant worth 80% of their average monthly trading profit over the last three years. This covers 95% of people who receive the majority of their income from self-employment.

Covid-19 grants linked to business rate properties in Wales

Welsh Government is making funds available for non-repayable grants for small businesses; these will be distributed by the Council for qualifying businesses situated within the Caerphilly County Borough that are registered to pay business rates on their premises on or before the 20th March 2020.

At the moment the Council is still running its regular grants schemes to support new expanding businesses.

If you are a tenant in one of our Council owned business units tour Business Support Section will be emailing you directly to provide the information we require in respect of any rent deferral requests related to your rent. If your request to defer your rental payments is accepted you will need to enter into an agreed repayment plan with the Council.
